Our Freight Postal And Delivery Process

Goods Sent By Freight Companies

‘Organature’ is not the freight company. ‘Organature’ obtain freight charges from a few transport companies on your behalf and where available, transit insurance.  These charges are paid by ‘Organature’ on your behalf and appear on your invoice as a separate freight charge for re-imbursement. Organature is not responsible for transit once the parcels have been picked up by the transport company from our despatch.

Some freight companies will provide estimated delivery dates, however they do not guarantee it will get there on that date. The time they deliver is between 8:30am – 5:30pm. If you are not home when they deliver they are supposed to leave a note and it is then up to you to make contact with the freight company to arrange delivery. If redelivery is needed the cost will be at your expense.

Some freight companies have several different options; if requested they can call before delivery. If you would like parcel left without first a phone call this can be arranged.  Some will give a delivery date and options to have it delivered in either the morning or afternoon; however there will be an extra charge for this service. If you are not prepared to pay the extra then they will deliver between 8:30 – 5:30. As above, if not home they will leave a note then it is up to you to arrange delivery. If redelivery is needed the cost will be at your expense.

Combined Shipping

Number of parcels. Our operation is from three different locations, which is one of the reasons why freight/postage cannot be combined. Freight company’s charges are based on volume/weight and combining several parcels will not make the freight any cheaper. Most bedding and linen are sent by post, mattresses and furniture by freight from two different locations. Sometimes they may arrive at same time. With each separate delivery the parcels are marked with the number of parcels if there is more than one. Sometimes the freight company do not deliver all parcels at the same time. Please wait a few days before contacting us for follow up. Contact by email preferred.

To Safeguard Your Interest

Whether the outer packaging is damaged or is not damaged; do not automatically sign in the space provided. Instead, write across the delivery receipt “Pending Final Inspection” and sign under that wording. The parcel may look perfectly ok on the outside but rough handling can cause damage to the actual product. Should you after opening find damage, email the consignment number, shown on a label on outside of package, to sales@organature.com,au together with short explanation and photos of all damage(s). Transport companies will not honour any complaints and/or claims if these procedures are not followed and finalised within 24 hours. If goods are damaged and you have signed without wording “Parcel Damaged Pending Final Inspection” claims are no longer honoured. If you give permission to leave goods at a certain point on your property and there is any damage, claims will not be honoured by transport companies or their insurance providers.

Bedding And Other Items Sent With Australia Post

Australia post has made some changes with their parcel service. Sometimes parcels are delivered, other occasions a card to collect from post office is left in letterbox. There are occasions when post has been removed or Australia Post forget to leave a card; we suggest if you have not received your parcel within 7 working days (allow 10days for W.A.) you contact your local Post Office before contacting us.

Packaging For Maximum Protection

“Organature” mattresses, futons and toppers are triple packed for country and interstate freight; an organic calico bag, plastic bag and outer carton. Melbourne and some outer Melbourne deliveries are minus outer carton.  Furniture is packed in bubble wrap and additional, where needed, cardboard. Other goods are packed, firstly in an organic cotton bag or in true cellulose film depending on product, then an outer carton or post bag

Do not hesitate to contact us: Should you require any further information please phone us on (03) 5932 0914 between 9am – 4pm Monday to Friday. If you need to leave a message, please speak clearly and repeat your telephone number slowly.
