Our Organic Cotton bedding, made from GOTS Certified 100% Organic Cotton Fabric, is cut, sewn, folded and wrapped in our own hygienic sewing room. Superior soft fabric without chemicals, allows your skin to breathe, providing you with a healthy sleep. Our fitted sheets are elasticised and are made to a generous size to suit Pillow Top and deep mattresses. Our flat sheets are a very generous size, in both width and length. No more fighting for the bedding or losing your covering during the night. With our huge range of colours, you are able to mix and match!
Organic Sheets come in a wide range of colours (created with low-impact dyes acceptable by GOTS Organic Certification) to match the pillowcases quilt covers and cushion covers. Our Natural colour is NOT treated, bleached or dyed in any way for those who are extra careful about what they put next to their skin. Natural, certified organic and unbleached is the ideal choice for people wanting to live as allergy-free and sensitivity-free as possible. Please note that colours will vary according to your computer monitor settings. If you would like to touch and see the exact fabric colour samples, we are more than happy to send you a selection in the mail.
WASHING: Maximum temperature for washing cotton is 40 C as anything higher than this may degrade the fibres and reduce the lifespan of your product. We recommend below 30 C for Organic Cotton. Do not use commercial softening products as they may affect your health and alter the organic nature of the product. DRYING: Line dry; avoid strong sunlight which can cause bleaching and deterioration of this quality fabric. May be machine dried on low heat, keeping it below the maximum temperature of 30 C. Iron with steam if needed.
Poplin is a light weight, straight and tight woven deluxe fabric, similar to Percale, but with more yarn per square metre. The fabric is crisp, yet soft.
It is better a quality than sateen, which is a looser weave.
Poplin is suitable for most climates, all year round and great to mix and match with our other colours including our new Sweethearts printed poplin.
It would definitely be our preference to use Australian grown cotton, however, we only use cotton that is grown from non-modified seeds, no harmful chemicals used to grow and process the cotton and has Organic Certification under GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards).
Australian grown cotton is grown from genetically modified seeds created by a chemical company and has no organic certification. Australian grown cotton is sprayed and fertilized with chemicals during the growing season and defoliated with chemicals before picking using machines that create pollution.
