To assemble your new bunk bed:

Assembling the ends first, please match the letters/numbers of the horizontal pieces to the vertical posts, using 40mm bolts & key provided.
Once you have both ends assembled, assemble the heavier slat support beams to the end pieces using the bolts provided, making sure that the beams are the correct way up.
As you can see the beams are made of two pieces of timber – glued and nailed together. The correct way up is for the smaller piece of timber to be inset enough so the slats will drop in and sit flush.
The last step to assemble your bunk bed is to secure the slats. Of the 6 sets of slats provided, there are 2 sets that have been pre-drilled and require screwing into place using a No. 2 Phillips-head screwdriver (your screws have been supplied in the box of bolts).
These 2 sets belong in the centre of both the upper & lower bed bases. They are numbered, and should be placed with the corresponding number found on the bunk bed frame. Once the centre slats are secured, place the other 4 sets of slats in position.

General Bunk Safety
Note the correct Mattress size below for your chosen Bunk Size:
Single: approx. 910 x 1900mm
Double: approx. 1370 x 1900
King Single: approx. 1070 x 2030.
The maximum height of the mattress shall not exceed the ‘Max. Mattress Mark” at 160mm down from the top of the guardrail. The mattress must be no higher than 270mm
Children under the age of six should not use the upper bed of the bunk.
Children should be discouraged from playing on the bed. The bunk bed should be checked periodically to ensure that the guardrail, ladder and other components, are maintained in the correct position and state of repair and that all connectors are tight.
The bunk bed is not to be placed near a ceiling fan unless the distance between the closest points on the ceiling fan and bunk bed is at least 2m.
If your bunk beds cannot be flush up against the bedroom wall, then allow a clear space greater than 230mm right around the bed.
Keep the floor area around the bunk free from hard toys or sharp objects, in case of a trip or fall.
A small light left on, can help children safely out of top bunk in the night.
